Most of us, at some time or another, have been to an airport, whether it is to take a flight or to meet friends or relatives from their flight. How often do we actually take a look around the airport, try to find unusual angles that would produce a stunning photograph or notice the way the tables and chairs are reflected in the plate glass windows?
Mostly, we either plane-watch or people-watch, read a newspaper or magazine or just sit, tapping our feet bored with the wait!
Here is a collection of photographs taken from both inside and outside airports around the world. Some are purely shots of beautiful parts of airports, others are shots taken at unusual angles that show hidden beauty within the airport boundaries, all are great shots and all are HDR photography.
As we all have different opinions on the amount of HDR post-applied to an image, I have included some photographs that may be considered ‘overdone’ on the HDR and some that definitely aren’t!

Perhaps you don’t like HDR photography, perhaps you are not particularly enamored by airports and airplanes, but these photographs showcase creativity, imagination and photography skills in producing engaging images from a relatively dull subject.
