In this article, I will present you some galleries I use when looking for mobile design and mobile UX inspiration. I have ordered them in different categories that depend on what I am looking for.
Inspiration By Application Pattern (Navigation, Lists, etc.)
When designing a specific module or application, finding inspiration directly related to this pattern can save you a lot of time. You will find here a list of useful resources that show different mobile application views arranged by mobile patterns categories.
SOME ANDROID ONLY PATTERN GALLERIES
Android App Patterns
Android App Patterns currently features more than 1130 screenshots arranged in mobile and tablet design. You can browse them through the category drop-down.
Androidux
Androidux is another “Android design” pattern gallery to get inspiration from that you can browse through different category filters.
AN IOS ONLY PATTERN GALLERY
Uxarchive
On Uxarchive, you can compare the user workflow for different components across the iOS OS.
GALLERIES THAT MIX ALL OPERATING SYSTEMS
Lovely UI
On Lovely UI, you can use a filter to chose between different devices, but also filter the UI patterns by tags.
Mobile Patterns
On Mobile Patterns, you can choose a pattern category, and then filter it by device.
Mobile Mozaic
Mobile Mozaic puts together a nice list of UI patterns mixed between different devices, but you can’t choose which OS you want to see.
Pttrns
Pttrns currently offers more than 1380 screenshots of different mobile patterns. You can’t filter them by device, but the site offers a zoom option if you need to see more details.
Inspired UI
Inspired UI puts together two different websites to find pattern inspiration : go to the main website Inspire UI to find a list of iOS patterns screens.
And go to the Android version for Android ones.
Pattern Tap
On Pattern Tap, you will find more than 4450 patterns you can filter by device (mobile, tablet, desktop), by type, and also by style.
GENERAL DESIGN PATTERNS
If you are not particularly looking for some “visual” inspiration, but more generally for mobile design patterns, you really should take a look at Android Patterns and Windows Phone Patterns.
APPLICATION GALLERY BY APPLICATION TYPE CATEGORY
If you are looking for inspiration, you might not be looking for a specific UI pattern, but more for applications in the same field. In this case the following link should help.

On TappGala, you will be able to filter applications by different fields.

Holo Everywhere
Holo Everywhere was created to pay a tribute to the new Android 4.0 design. On this blog you will find a selection of applications, but also design patterns and great tips.
NON PLATFORM EXCLUSIVE GALLERIES
Ultra UI
Ultra UI is another website where you can find inspiration for Android, and iPhone Uis.
Meerli
Meerli has pretty much the same principle with different sub-domains for each device : iPhone, iPad, Android. You can also get inspiration for application icons.
Mobile Awesomeness
Mobile Awesomeness have narrowed down some of the best resources for you to start building mobile sites and has a gallery to showcase how sites look in mobile screen.
Some Extra Resources Before You Go
This is not especially “inspiration” per se, but if you like mobile wireframes, you might enjoy Moobileframes, a tumblr site that puts together some very nice wireframes.
And if you are looking for a designer, or simply want to look at what other designers are creating, you can take a look at Scoutzie which features some great mobile designers.
